DAS MÄRCHEN VOM ELFENKROKUS
Ein Februar-Spaziergang durch meinen Garten, einmal etwas anders!
THE FAIRYTALE OF THE FAIRY-CROCUS
Walking through my February garden in another way!
Meanwhile more plant children were born, but they didn't say anything. They looked imploring at the sun.
Normally the primrose was a really amicable, modest plant, but in this frosty night she got a little bit windswept and so she also didn' t hestiate to mention how ugly these "things without color" were.
Now the first bee of this new year came nearer and asked the pale plants, if it would be possible to take some pollen from them. How lucky the plants were that the bee didn' t say they were ugly - and so they were happy to give some pollen away.
The fairy flew in just at the moment when she heared of the sorrow of the little blossoms. "Oh, you are so pretty and lovely", she whispered softly. "Please, may I christen you FAIRY-CROCUS? It would be a great honour for me." And she put a little ring of twigs around the magical, lucky Crocuses. The other plants were ashamed and the Eranthis said: "Well, why should we be more clever than people?"
Yes, it happened just his way yesterday and I wanted to tell you this, didn' t I!?
