Instead of intellectual treatises on the Sempervivum, I' d like to show you some possibilities for decorating with it today! Anything is possible!!! If you like this and want to see more, then look into the blog of the Sempervivum queen Astrantia.
More than 43000 readers visited my blog in one year. For me it' s a great honour and pleasure and, of course, an incentive to find more interesting topics for you. I would like to say "thank you" for your numerous visits and comments on my blog (sometimes the commenting could be more critical - nobody is perfect!).
Apart from my rust decoration at my rondell table, I have built a little garden kitchen decoration on my terrace. A woven basket is on the ground. Very important for all planting pots planted with Sempervivum: 1. the pots must have enough holes to let out the water; 2. under the planting area there must be a drainage of gravel or hydro-ponics material (more light); 3. the soil must be the kind that lets water in, e. g. e a mix of 1 part grevel and 2 parts soil.
By the way, the day of the "Open Garden Gate" in Bavaria is one day after my
blog' s birthday. I should like to take this as a good omen.
This is the whole garden kitchen. You can see that I have taken a lot of things from my parent' s house and thus, given my Sempervivum a new home!
In the meantime, some features have reached the newspapers and I laughed a lot over the 'competent' descriptions of the reporters. One of them wrote: "Wurzerl has a pond with a permanent circulation" writing about my stream. I asked a good friend who is a doctor of medicine, if she might look at the circulation of my poor ill pond!!! ;-) ;-)
Isn' t it possible that Sempervivum babies were born with the help of a meat grinder?
Anyway, let' s go back to my blog birthday! You know this hasn' t really been a very easy year for me!!!
The Sempervivum tower can show you that I tend to look forwards and try to be full of optimism.
I want to say many thanks for your blog faith and will raffle off three books among all bloggers who leave a comment in this post by the end of July. Please write a keyword to help me know what you like to read: for example: climbing plants, wonderful gardens, ideas for handycrafts, needlework, decoration, also authors or novel titles. If American, Italian oder French Bloggers will win, I'll try to find the book in your native language.
Ok! Let' s water the Sempervivum one more time for the Birthday!!
Don' t forget the key word while commenting and, please know, also that my invitation for the raffle is also to new bloggers!
