In my next posts I 'd like to show you the extensive, botanical variety of the Canary Island Teneriffa. Do you know that there are 7 different vegetation zones here? Have you ever heared that on the Canary Islands there are more than 500 endemic plants? And - last but not least - what do you think about the discoverer and seafarer who brought wonderful , exotic plants in hundreds from America, Africa, Asia and Australia from the Tropic and Subtropic zones to Teneriffa?
Today I only want to show you some nice pictures, e. g. from this Butterfly Garden in Icod de los Vinos.
The amazing variety of the Teneriffa plants is so immense that I was able to make a collage of only with Hibiscus to demonstrate the color spectrum of this one bloom.
