The phone is ringing! The journalist of the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" and a little time later another journalist of the "Münchner Merkur" want to visit "Wurzerls garden" to ask me something about my garden and to take photographs here. It' s about the "day of the open garden dor" in whole Bavaria at the 29.6.08. I describe the way to me and end with the threat: "You will find me at the place where the front garden is a road-works."
It' s so terrible, the press comes at the next day! The front garden isn' t prepared. All will be new, but in this moment it' s not ready. Ok I take a look at the other side and hope you come with me.
At the begin of the path meet the Fuchsia the Erigeron annua. What a charming welcome for the press. But...what must I do to say a good welcome to my press guests?
I see that in my pond there is no waterlily in blossom and I can' t see a bud at the plants. But I' m not better - since two days I have four teeth less in my mouth.
The maple-tree corner is lightning with the yellow Phlomis. I am looking pale as always!
In the shady border I have also some decoration. Here the Nectaroscordum and the Lilium are in blossom. When I' m see my shadow border I think that I have problems with my tired eyes.
At my paradise gate await me the pastel of the roses, Persicaria bistorta, the Astrantia and other blooms. If I take the eye-shadow in pastel?
The bloom at the day lily walk is low. At the moment the Hypericum and the Geranium is blossom. It' s not too much - but my potbelly - It' s too much!
At the last corner before we arrive the terrace are more roses blossom. The "Leonardo da Vinci" and the "Bonica" are so beautiful, the "Fairy" is waiting. And now I know exactly: tomorrow I will not be overdressed and I will not come with make-up. I will be like every day, and that' s that!!!
Next day the four-leaf clover is blossom a short time before the photographers and journalists come. But a long heavy rain press the roses, the perennial herbs and the shrubs to the soil. One of the jounalists asks me, if I' m sad, when the flowers in the garden are so windswept? I answer:
"The garden is my friend and I accept when my friends are ill, sad or moody, it's an very important part of friendship!!!
